Deep Creek Park
Deep Creek Park is a Destination Playground in Chesapeake, Virginia! A destination playground is ADA-accessible. It was designed for special needs children, but anyone can use it and have fun! Some of its features include:

Oak Grove Lake Park
Oak Grove Lake Park is 65 acres of scenic open space with a hardwood forest, wetlands, and a lake. You will find picnic tables and benches throughout the park to relax on with your family. There are also 1.5 miles of fitness trail around the lake and six outdoor fitness stations along the trail. While you’re out there, you may even spot an animal or two! Unfortunately, you can’t swim or boat on this lake, but it’s still stunning. Plus, you can still fish on this lake, as it is stocked with largemouth bass and channel catfish!
Additionally, a wonderful mulch play area is at the edge of the protected forest. It features multiple slides, climbing pieces, and interactive play stations. It also has shaded benches for the parents! At this Chesapeake park, you can rent picnic shelters with grills for a nice barbeque. Chesapeake City Park
The Chesapeake City Park sits on 90 acres of land, with 30 acres reserved for reforested pine trees. Three acres of the park are home to Fun Forest, the ultimate children’s playground built in 1995. Some unique features include a dragon, shaky bridge, dolphin tunnel slide, three-way underground phone, and challenges for older children. This Chesapeake park also features dog parks, horseshoe, volleyball, and basketball courts, an outdoor fitness area, and a skate park.
Additionally, you can find a ¾-mile walking loop and picnic shelter rentals with grills. The thing I love most is that the park is fairly ADA accessible, from paved paths to slides, swings, picnic tables, and benches that accommodate wheelchairs.
Finally, this park is THE park to go to for entertainment. They host various events throughout the year, such as the Chesapeake Jubilee. Western Branch Park
Western Branch Park is a 93-acre public park with various athletic fields and open space for kids to run and play. The Chesapeake park was designed to be a family-oriented and relaxing facility. The park has a 2-mile walking trail and a mulched playground with a Max Net Climber. Western Branch Park is also adjacent to the Western Branch Community Center. A membership or day passes for $5 per day is required to enter. However, it will get you access to additional outdoor playground equipment, and a Splash Park open in the summer!

Lakeside Park
Lakeside Park is a gorgeous 11-acre park that was built in 1933. It features a scenic archway bridge with panoramic views and mature trees. There is also a walkway with granite monuments and a garden at the flagpole. This park is also ADA-Accessible, with access to the walkway to the bridge and the playground.
